10 lip 2013 · Pretty much all of the reviews considered it pretty much the best avp pre under $15k (but only sold for $4995), and the kicker for me was they all raved about it as a 2 channel pre. Thinking I'd like to actually hear it, of course the only way to do that was to bring it home.
11 maj 2024 · Proceed (Madrigal) AVP Firmware Update and Display repair. If anyone has an older AVP with older firmware that needs to be updated. I have just successful updated mine from: Original: AVP ID: 05090116. Checksum: 97F2. DSP ID: 0374:6. After Update: AVP ID: 06210211.
I owned the original AVP since 1999 with Proceed's HPA-2 and HPA-3 amps. Was not exactly impressed with the amp's but was very impressed with the AVP's easy use and great sound quality for both music and video.
Proceed AVP A/V Preamplifier. Digitizes all inputs. No analog path for turntable or open reel use. BIG Bummer. Yes it costs a bundle, hangs like a PC does once in a while and has an upgrade which isn't "FREE" by a long long shot, but da*n it sure sounds and looks good.
18 sie 2005 · I found I didn't need or want the latest 6.1, 7.1 etc but want Stereo, DD / DTS / THX done well which is what the Proceed gives me. Much better connectivity as well. Yes there are a few things that are dated but overall it is still highly competitive. Been through the Meridian and Lexicons as well.
I bought the Proceed AVP and Proceed AMP5 4 weeks ago after extensive auditioning of the Meridian, Lexicon, and Proceed gear. I moved from 15 year old audiophile preamp to a Sony DD receiver hooked to an Acoustat amp.
30 lis 2016 · hi, im looking to replace and upgrade my Proceed AVP. any suggestions appreciated. $ 6,000 budget. heres my current set-up: Stereo Mark Levinson 27.5 amplifier 2 – Proac Response 3 speakers. (Center speakers – 8 ohm) Mirage subwoofer – LFX-2 Proceed AVP (Madrigal) This, of course, is what I’m trying to replace.
