24 lip 2012 · Wow, I was curious about the .40S&W Shield and how it compared to the G27 and P239 and “BAM” here’s a great review. So, I see you ranked them for “Shootablility”, but for all around carry which of the four do you like the best?
20 sie 2013 · I took 14 rounds and a target out to the backyard and fired away. Just for reference, 40 caliber has never been my favorite round, but I keep trying to like it. The Shield made me like it. There is less recoil from this little gun than from my Glock 23 or the full size Sig I shoot occasionally.

I liked how it felt in my hand, I liked the round size upgrade to the .40 from the 9mm and most of all I liked that it’s take-down was similar to many other pistols I own. Recoil as compared to a similar sized 9mm was negligible at best.

It is, however, the best single stack subcompact in my opinion. As a subcompact, it's bested by the P365/P365XL, the Hellcat, and the Shield's double stacked cousin, the elusive M2.0 Subcompact. All of these have double stack mags in a similarly sized package.
