10 wrz 2020 · Cancer during pregnancy is relatively rare, occurring in approximately 1 in 1,000 pregnancies. 1-3 However, cancer is the second most common cause of death for women of childbearing age. 4 As maternal childbearing age increases, the number of cancers diagnosed during pregnancy is expected to rise.
Here, we provide the ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for managing patients diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy. Also, we provide guidance on fertility considerations for women desiring pregnancy following cancer diagnosis.
