23 gru 2004 · PPG K36 is a sand-able primer/sealer. It's is designed to spray over existing finishes, bare metal, etc to provide a consistent chemically stable surface for the topcoats to adhere to. Pro refinishers need this to go on fast, bond perfectly to *anything* clean and sand easily.

8 wrz 2024 · What's the going rate for K36 now? I quit using it a dozen years ago and use SPi turbo prime through a 2.0 tip. ALL urethane surface primers shrink, it's how you finish your work between steps that's critical.
11 maj 2019 · SPI Turbo urethane high build primer....less than half the cost of K36 and IMO, every bit the product, which is great. SPI as a sealer or PPG D8XX (color preference to fill the XX)...I like the PPG a little better.

16 lip 2009 · I spoke to my local PPG dealer (a co. called Tasco here in Austin) and he's advising PPG's DPLF Epoxy Primer on the bare metal (fully prepped). Then, later this summer I'll take it to my P&B guy, who will do the bodywork, prime with my K36 (acrylic primer surfacer), then shoot the topcoats.
