If you're like me and you hate having to press + on some website every time you do a soft reset, but can't find an automatic shiny counter anywhere... well, neither could I, so I made it myself and someone suggested I should share it in this sub. The base odds are at 1/4096. In theory, you’d only be “guaranteed” to get one after ~20,000 resets (though it would be very unlucky to do so many). In reality though, you may do more than 20,000 and still not get one or you might just get one after 3. It’s all up to chance in the end.
This script will allow you to count your encounters, phases, chain lengths, or soft resets until you get a shiny Pokemon. This program keeps track of many variables, including the counter, what phase you are on, and what your total count across all phases is.
Legendaries have full odds of being shiny and are unaffected by the shiny charm. The odds of a shiny encounter are 1/4096, basically 0.02% chance. Some people get lucky and do a few hundred SRs, others do over 5000.
9 gru 2021 · So, the best method to shiny hunt for Legendary Pokemon is by incorporating soft resets. You save your game before the Legendary Pokemon encounter, engage in battle, and if it isn’t shiny, you soft reset and repeat the process from your recent save point right before the Legendary.
