Any plant that does not smell or taste like an onion is NOT and is most likely poisonous. No “false onion” will smell like onion or garlic.
Ingesting toxic wild onions can cause symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, weakness, and in extreme cases, can result in death. It’s crucial to confidently identify the wild onion before consuming any part of the plant.
