Graphs, sometimes known as gryphs, usually have points or markers on them. The location of this point is given by an ordered pair. For instance ordered pairs are used to locate points on a street map. For street maps, however, it is common to use a letter and a number, say B17 or D5.
The word plot in the sense of the action "plot the graph of a function" or "plot some points" typically means drawing with the connotation of precision. I generally would not use the phrasing "plot the graph."

A plot is the result of plotting statistics as a diagram in different ways, where some of the ways are similar to some chart types. So, a line chart could be called a graph or a plot, while a pie chart is neither a graph nor a plot.
