20 gru 2023 · I have this same problem trying to connect my new Pixel 8 pro phone to a Windows 11 PC via USB cable for file transfer. For context: I can connect as usual between my Pixel 8 and a Windows 10 laptop. I can also connect between an old Huawei Mate 20 pro and both the Windows 10 and 11 PCs.

11 kwi 2023 · The Pixel CAN connect to an older laptop running Windows 10, appearing both in the Windows Device Manager (which says my drivers are up to date) and in File Explorer (where I can access the internal memory). But ADB similarly returns nothing on the ADB.\fastboot devices command.
3 wrz 2024 · Normally an USB 3 phone connected with an USB 2.0 cable should make use of the USB wires and establish an USB 2 connection. May be the cable is wrongly detected as USB 3 cable and the phone tries only to use the USB 3 wires which fails.
This worked for my Pixel 7 Pro which did not show up in File Explorer but appeared as Unspecified in Devices & Printers: on Pixel, Change to Developer Mode (tap 7 times at the Firmware version) Change to USB Debugging ON. Set default USB mode : File Transfer. on PC, open Printers & Device. click on Pixel 7 Pro (Unspecified)
