15 cze 2022 · The best training tools I’ve found for explaining the fundamentals of sight alignment and sight picture (as well as diagnosis) come from TrainingSights (trainingsights.com). These instructional aids are screen-printed plastic overlays, and can be used to reproduce the common sight pictures.
Focus on one thing: focus on your front sight. Let’s look at sight alignment. This image is not the conventional view presented in manuals. Of course, the front blade is crisp and black. This is our primary point of focus. But, looking at your front sight doesn’t guarantee a great shot.
Perform this drill by starting at 3 yards. Use any target that has a small, fine aiming point. Acquire your sight picture on that aiming point and fire your first shot. Continue firing until you have fired 5 rounds from 3 yards. DO NOT adjust your sight picture based on the impact location and try to move the impact to the “bullseye.”
