6 mar 2019 · Visit a REAL ID Center to have your documents verified and imaged and receive your REAL ID at the time of service; The following PennDOT Driver License Centers can issue REAL IDs over the counter. Locations with an asterisk are new sites that will be open in March 2019.
To find out if your required REAL ID documents are on file with PennDOT, apply for REAL ID pre-verification online. If PennDOT confirms that your documents are on file, you can order your REAL ID online — no need to visit a driver's license center!
Beginning on March 1, newly issued non-REAL ID driver's licenses and ID cards look different. Per federal REAL ID regulations, non-REAL IDs must be clearly labeled with the words “NOT FOR REAL ID PURPOSES.”. NOTE: These are valid forms of ID, even if they are marked “NOT FOR REAL ID PURPOSES”.
