I haven’t done the ride personally, but my spouse has. And if you already have a bike, there’s not much other “cost” besides the fundraising. They do use all of the funds raised by riders toward research. The overheads and operational expenses of Pelotonia are covered by corporate sponsors.

50-mile Riders will start their Ride from McFerson Commons (218 West St, Columbus, OH 43215) on Saturday at 7:30 am, 7:45 am or 8:00 am. Riders will be assigned a staging group and start time that is determined by ride distance and Peloton affiliation.
