I bought a second hand Gator which my kids absolutely love and I've been having fun trying to mod it. Started off by attaching mountain bike tire treads which worked really well but then this week I've been working on adding 2 Milwaukee 18v 6a batteries.
I'm looking at buying the gator two seater from peg perego. I was wondering, how upgradeable is this compared to power wheels? Pros cons and any other info would be great.
Just converted a Peg Perego Gator and tractor to use pneumatic tires. The process was the same except I used a 7/16 threaded rod on the tractor to widen the stance. The stock gator rod was sufficiently long. I started out with Arnold wheels with premounted Carlisle turf saver tires.
We have a peg perego JD Gator and I just swapped the 12v battery with a 18/20V Dewalt connection with an in line speed controller (my son didn't want to go fast at first... Now he does) and low voltage cutoff switch.
