Your 2024 Trail Completion Stories Part 1. By PCTA Staff. October 31, 2024. With the thru-hiking season coming to a close and the end of the year fast approaching, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the stories that the trail has shaped.
The PCTA will probably announce in late August/early September the dates for 2024 permit applications. They are usually released in two batches; one in November and one in January. The process for getting them has definitely gotten crazier, although last year's system seemed a bit better.
