1 wrz 2014 · B19V targets the erythroid progenitors in the bone marrow by binding to the glycosphingolipid globoside (Gb4), leading to large receptor-induced structural changes triggering cell death either by...
15 cze 2022 · Here, we review the nature of this virus to provide information about its biology; interactions with the human host; how those interactions shape the clinical presentation; and, finally, the available diagnostic approaches.
Summary. – Parvovirus B19 (B19V) is a small non-enveloped single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) virus of the family Parvoviridae, the subfamily Parvovirinae, the genus Erythrovirus and Human parvovirus B19 type spe-cies. It is a common community-acquired respiratory pathogen without ethnic, socioeconomic, gender, age or geographic boundaries.
In this review article, we reviewed the main concept of the parvovirus b19 and its disease, fifth disease, and sympthoms, finally we have discussion about its diagnosis. KEYWORDS: Parvovirus B19, Fifth Disease, Diagnosis.

Introduction: Parvovirus B19 (B19V), a single-stranded DNA virus in the family Parvoviridae, is a human pathogenic virus, characterized by a selective but not exclusive tropism for erythroid progenitor cells.
29 kwi 2013 · The scope of this review is the advances in knowledge on the biological characteristics of the virus and of virus-host relationships, the continuous effort to develop better diagnostic algorithms and methods and the need for development of prophylactic and therapeutic options for B19V infections.
