I did some research on this yesterday when I needed to feed my pet for the first time. I found the Good feed recipe, as is described in this video, and got all the ingredients and cooked it in my house.

So the guide says you can have three pets out at a time, but only use the special abilities of one pet. Is looting considered a special ability? Or can you have 3 pets all looting?
I would put an alt in Olvia, give them a steel butcher knife or three. Give them some grain soup (gathering speed +1 food). Go mass butcher the wolves, foxes, or weasels that are everywhere. Also, go do the Milk dailies as the diary farm (there are 2 dailies), one of them gives you 10 pork as a reward option.
