Discussion. Other than having good gear/stats and doing the prequest of obtaining the frozen key there are other ways that you can make your life easier fighting nex before release!
Nex is a 1x1 NPC (though she will not be moved by Kick, Stomp, and the Scare Tactics abilities) and has a soft cap throughout the whole fight. During the first four phases, Nex has a soft cap that reduces excess damage above 5,000 by 50%. For example, a 6,000 damage hit would be reduced to 5,500 damage.
