28 wrz 2023 · Playing original "Doom" with Chocolate Doom is easy. Download Chocolate Doom and extract all files to a new Chocolate Doom folder on your PC. Download Freedoom Phase 1+2 and move the Freedoom1.wad or Freedoom2.wad file into the Chocolate Doom folder. Double-click chocolate-doom.exe in the Chocolate Doom folder to run.
So technically Doom is free, but all it really is - is the engine plus the first chapter of the game. You have to buy it somewhere like GOG or Steam to get the full thing - but once you get it you will have a better expierience getting a sourceport to run the game instead of the default dosbox steam tries to have you use.
