Looking for some information on how the Optimum Apple TV app compares to YouTube TV in terms of user interface, capabilities, reliability, etc. (or just opinions on those things without comparison to YTTV).
We dropped optimum for YouTube TV a few months ago and never looked back. Not only are we saving tons of money every month we get the same channels with better quality and personal DVR service for each user and it’s unlimited.
I made the switch from optimum/cablevision to YTTV since October 2019. Never looking back. My parents usually pay around the same amount as you do and it made me think about cutting the cord. Unfortunately I try to convince them to do it but they need the international channels.

This plan includes local channels, 32 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs) in select markets. The service includes an unlimited DVR. The Streamable does not recommend YouTube TV.
