OpenKJ is a free full featured karaoke software but since the author died I'm not sure the people now running it will be able to maintain it. There have been no new updates since. For a simple interface I like Show Presenter Pro.
For windows there are many solutions, Karafun, PCDJ, and more. For a free option and what I use is OpenKJ. It has all the tools you need to organize your collection singers and rotation.
