In 2023 colleagues from around the world and I relaunched it as the Open Encyclopedia of Anthropology (OEA). You can find it here: http://www.anthroencyclopedia.com. The OEA includes over 90 open-access entries and has been read by over half a million people around the world.

The Open Encyclopedia of Anthropology (also known as the OEA and formerly known as the Cambridge Encyclopedia of Anthropology) is a free, peer-reviewed open access encyclopedia dedicated to the encyclopedic coverage of social and cultural anthropology.
Race is not biologically real, but its social and material consequences surely are (Hartigan 2013, 188). Racist systems, processes, and structures create the linkages between non-biological racialised groups and specific social, political, economic, and health-related outcomes.
As our entries on Climate Change or the Anthropocene illustrate, anthropology is now more relevant than ever to deal with society’s most pressing challenges and to make sense of our lives. The Open Encyclopedia of Anthropology (OEA) was officially launched in January 2023.
