Visual Cards. The idea to use a set of visual cards emerged from the discussion about the interviews and focus groups. The question arose how best to communicate with participants during the interviews, how to help them maintain their attention and to remember e.g. daily tasks and situations of daily living during the interviews.
These cards are written, designed and illustrated by Alive, the UK’s leading charity enriching the lives of older people and training their carers. Since 2009, Alive’s vision has been for a world where care home residents live lives full of meaning, joy and opportunity.
