- How OMNY Works
OMNY is the easiest, most flexible way to pay your subway or bus fare. You don't have to sign up or download an app; simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smartphone, wearable device, or OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY currently supports full-fare and Reduced-Fare pay-per-ride options.
How to use OMNY. Use a smart phone (with digital wallet enabled), a wearable, or a contactless credit or debit card to pay your fare at subway turnstiles, AutoGates, and onboard buses (including Select Bus Service). Simply tap one of them on the OMNY reader.
OMNY is available at all subway stations, MTA-operated buses, Hudson Rail Link, the Roosevelt Island Tram, and AirTrain-Howard Beach and AirTrain-Jamaica stations in New York City. More transit providers will be added soon. OMNY supports full-fare and reduced-fare pay-per-ride options, including free transfers and fare capping.

16 sie 2024 · OMNY caps your weekly fares at $34 when you tap the same card or device for every ride. Your first tap starts a new seven-day cap. If you spend $34 within seven days, you ride free for the rest of the cap period.
