United States: Longest served prisoner in California history. Accused of stabbing and killing fifteen-year-old Marlene Miller with scissors in the small town of Hanford. Originally sentenced to death for murder but changed to life in prison in the 1970s. Appealed, was retried and found guilty again in 1986. Died in prison at the age of 91.

[5] [6] [7] Its gas chamber has not been used since 1993, and its lethal injection chamber was last used in 2006. [8]
