30 paź 2023 · The Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill, also known as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, occurred on the 20 th of April 2010 because of a surge of natural gas that burst through a concrete core deep in the oil rig. When released by the weak concrete, the gas quickly rose to the surface of the rig, igniting and killing 11 workers on impact.
