21 paź 2019 · My last service I told them the car has been loosing oil. Oil light comes on about every 6 to 8 weeks. They came back and said the Cam Cover is leaking and it is starting to leak oil onto the coolant pump which will cause the coolant pump to fail. They quoted me $1,800 to fix it.
3 lip 2016 · Took it to a reputable Audi/VW shop near me for diagnosis and I was informed that my car is leaking oil from the camshaft cover on top of the motor. This oil trickles down and unfortunately causes the water pump seal to swell, which can sometimes damage the pump and create the mess that I have.
15 kwi 2019 · I have a 2008 XC with a 2.5T. I have an oil leak which seems to be coming from the top or side of the block. The angle gear is oily, the rear half of the transmission is too. This area of the engine was smudged with oil (pic was taken after cleaning). The area that was oily is marked in red.
31 paź 2019 · I have a big oil leak in front of my 2005 XC90 2.5T. Not really sure where its coming from but the timing cover is covered with oil and so is the timing belt. Its going through a quart of oil every 2 months. From what I can tell, there are 2 cam seals and 1 crank front seal.

About a year ago I pulled the cam sensor replaced the o rings that were cracked and split out figured that was my problem. drove it for another year continued to have same seeping oil leak. cleaned it up real good dyed the oil ...
18 lut 2022 · Good Morning all. I took my E350 (2015 4MATIC) to the stealership for a NYSI. Long story short I get a call back saying that they have detected an oil leak coming from the Cam Covers and quoted me $1,700. 1. Is this a common problem on a vehicle with 39,000 Miles? 2. Can this be easily fixed by a DIY if I order the parts.
28 mar 2024 · After sharing some of the feedback mentioned here via phone, we dropped off the vehicle yesterday morning for inspection expecting to hear the cam carrier gasket (or worse) would need to be replaced starting on Monday (tomorrow).
