Pension – The Laborers’ District Council and Contractors’ Pension Fund of Ohio has provided retirement benefits to its members for over 50 years. The Pension Fund is well-funded and has achieved a “Green Zone” certification every year. Approximately $14.5 million are paid monthly to retired members and beneficiaries.

The weekly benefit amount is the amount of benefits you may be entitled to receive for one week of total unemployment. Your weekly benefit amount is computed at one-half of your average weekly wage during your base period.
The Laborers’ District Council and Contractors’ Pension Fund of Ohio began in 1967, and in turn, has been providing lifetime benefits to hard working Ohio Laborers for over 50 years. Last month alone, over $13 million was paid to retired Laborers and their beneficiaries.
To apply online, go to unemployment.ohio.gov and follow the steps listed below. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can apply by calling 1-877-644-6562. Call center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Note that it is not possible to apply for unemployment benefits in person.
