NIST builds and operates the country’s most accurate atomic clocks, which help set the global time scale known as Coordinated Universal Time. Through its own time scale, NIST provides time to the nation and the world via the internet and radio.
The Central Office of Measures provides the Internet service that allows time synchronization in computer systems with the official time in Poland. The service is carried out through two servers with the names: tempus1.gum.gov.pl. tempus2.gum.gov.pl.
20 sie 2024 · In the fall of 1956, the National Company, based in Malden, Massachusetts, came out with the cleverly named “Atomichron”: a commercial cesium beam clock based on the design of an MIT physicist named Jerrold Zacharias.
10 lut 2010 · NIST operates several stratum-1 network time servers, which means their time is directly linked to UTC (NIST), the official NIST time. Other sources of time are not monitored or certified by NIST. Here are the server names, locations, and IP addresses and current status.
Official UTC (NIST) Time.
SIMT complements the world's official time scale, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), by providing real time support to operational timing and calibration systems in the SIM region. The stability of SIMT is superior to most SIM local time scales and SIMT also provides a good approximation of UTC timing accuracy (±15 ns).
