18 lut 2015 · There is a very easy way to do that. Just go in the game folder, find OblivionLauncher.exe. Rename it to "OblivionLauncher.exe back up" (file extension windows must be enable). Click yes. Next, rename the obse_loader.exe to OblivionLauncher.exe. Now you can run obse with steam.

1 sty 2015 · OBSE wont' launch with the game when using the Steam button, as it's supposed to; Blockhead won't create the .ini file, the OBSE Test Plugin doesn't work. Latest obse_loader.exe tells me to use the game button instead.
3 lip 2015 · Launch Oblivion via Steam or by running Oblivion.exe. OBSE will automatically be run along with Oblivion when launched. To disable this, rename or move obse_steam_loader.dll.
OBSE doesn't work with the original game either (I actually tried last year). Only Steam or GOG versions 1.2.0.416 are supported
12 gru 2016 · Starting Steam Oblivion outside of Steam will not make it work, so neither Oblivion.exe nor Oblivion_Launcher.exe should do the trick. The Steam integration will only fire, if Oblivion is also started through Steam.
EVERYTHING I've found suggests that I don't have to use this for the Steam version, and most users find that it doesn't even work when trying to use the Steam version of the game. They get a message that the game should be opened through Steam.
No idea how or why that finally fixed things but my OBSE now runs properly when I launch Oblivion from my Steam now. I use WryeBash/OBMM to install my mods btw. OBSE was installed 100% manually. Also make sure to launch the game from steam and not the oblivion.exe!!
