I am trying to install various mods but almost all require OBSE and when I try to run obse it just says it cannot find oblivion.exe when it's definitely in the same folder... i have tried multiple versions of obse.

5 kwi 2010 · What happens is that it seems that OBSE won't load oblivion.exe anymore; even if i reinstalled OBSE or tried another version. If i get ingame, i see throught everything, and there's no visible options on starting screen, or it just crashes.
6 wrz 2023 · After following the third video of the "Get Started" section in Vortex, i downloaded the Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) but when i try to start the game through vortex, it says, that OBSE isn't running in the same folder as oblivion.exe, but as my screenshot "Oblivion_Location" shows (and i am reading it right), it actually is.
3 lip 2015 · Launch Oblivion via Steam or by running Oblivion.exe. OBSE will automatically be run along with Oblivion when launched. To disable this, rename or move obse_steam_loader.dll.
8 paź 2019 · In short, Oblivion has not been able to detect OBSE repeatedly. I've now installed and uninstalled Oblivion and OBSE about four times in the last week or so. The Steam overlay is enabled in Steam Settings as well as in Oblivion's Properties.
I have copied the 3 .dll files to the installation folder and the OBSE folder to the Data folder with the .ini file inside it. I have Steam overlay active and running properly on the game. I have tried launching both the Oblivion.exe file independently and from within my Steam library.
