27 maj 2017 · Problem: Recent versions of Windows have keyboard issues where the keyboard gives no input to the game, primarily at the menu screen. The given way to fix this is to set "bUse Joystick=0" in the Oblivion.ini file, however many people including myself found this alone to do nothing.
10 lip 2022 · Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher. Any help would be appreciated.
Keyboard input problems could be the result of a control peripheral. First, try unplugging and plugging back in the keyboard. If that fails to resolve it, close the game out entirely and locate the Oblivion.ini file which, by default, is in the "My Games" folder under "Documents."
5 lut 2015 · The game starts fine, the oblivion logo crawls across the screen, and the graphic of the map is there. However, The actual menu to start playing disappeared. The music is playing, and the map graphic is in motion, the menu id just invisible.
when I launch Oblivion in Steam, after a few seconds the launcher shows up and all the options are available, but when I press Play it says “The Oblivion Launcher could not find the Oblivion game executable. Please reinstall Oblivion.” To be clear, they are in the same folder: …/steamapps/common/Oblivion.
Within the Oblivion key, add a string value with the name 'Installed Path' and set the value to the path to your Oblivion folder, making sure that the path ends in a backslash (C:\whatever\Oblivion\). You should be able to launch the game now. I've had to do this on every proton install, but it should work on Windows as well.
I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far:
