I am trying to install various mods but almost all require OBSE and when I try to run obse it just says it cannot find oblivion.exe when it's definitely in the same folder... i have tried multiple versions of obse.
Try the new xOBSE. To start Oblivion with OBSE, you must make a new shortcut, not start the game with Oblivion.exe nor the OblivionLauncher.exe. If Steam starts the game with the shortcut: "Launch The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion" you can edit it: "X:\xxxxxxxx\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe".
10 kwi 2011 · Open a command prompt window, navigate to your oblivion install folder, and type "obse_loader -editor". The normal editor can open plugins with these extended scripts fine, it just can't recompile them and will give errors if you try.
Warning!Steam users!!! OBSE will not work if this setting is not enabled: Steam > Settings > In-Game > Check the box marked "Enable steam community in-game". Download Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) to the Oblivion folder. Extract it there. (It will add a folder containing the OBSE files.)
7 maj 2023 · If his crash is when he tries to load a game and not when start starting the game, it’s likely that it’s due to missing or incorrect shaders. This wouldn’t surprise me if OBGE has been installed by Wrye Bash, as it deletes the vanilla shaders. Uninstall OBGE and use Oblivion Reloaded instead.
21 lis 2016 · First make sure that you install OBSE into the Oblivion folder and not the Data folder. Extract these files into the oblivion folder. Data. obse_1_2_416.dll. obse_editor_1_2.dll. obse_steam_loader.dll. The obse_loader application is for the retail version. Make sure the Steam Community is enabled, then launch the game normally through Steam.
