7 mar 2020 · You might have to add Oblivion.exe to whatever whiletlisting mechanism is required so it can modify your My Documents folder. check windows security/controlled folder access. if on, add exceptions for steam/game launcher/game. My guess is the save files is created in a different location to where you are looking.
Steam only installs to the directory that will be revealed. There will be a folder in Documents (mine are in Documents/My Games) with save data, and maybe some other stuff, but that isn't the install directory.
A solution someone said worked was to disable OneDrive sync for oblivion and to make sure your saves are in the default save location, [C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves], and make sure the .ini reflects that.
You can absolutely move your install folder via steam. Right click the game from your steam library > Properties > Local Files > Move install folder. You can also set up your Steam Library Folders to be off of the C drive, which is absolutely recommended for anything related to modding right at the beginning.
23 cze 2013 · I have recently bought Oblivion GOTY from steam but I couldn't find the data folder when i tried to install mods. There is no data folder in my program files or in my steam files. The game is installed and works perfectly.

7 lis 2022 · When I search in the steam store, regular non-GOTY Oblivion doesn't even show up, and none of the ones I click on say they are in my library. I'm so confused, I for sure purchased this game. Did Steam remove regular Oblivion?
