20 mar 2023 · There is nothing wrong with setting compatibility mode, but I'd like to learn which problem exactly is fixed by doing it, where there is an incompatibility of Oblivion and Win11 (beyond hearsay, prejudice and Win11phobia).
Confirmed Steam Overlay is checked as active for Oblivion | Confirmed proper DirectX files are not missing from my PC. (obviously) Confirmed Oblivion is not installed into my C drives x86 folder.
I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
A solution someone said worked was to disable OneDrive sync for oblivion and to make sure your saves are in the default save location, [C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves], and make sure the .ini reflects that.
