2 sie 2014 · I've recently uninstalled and I want to reinstall the game outside of program files but steam does not allow me to place it in another folder or perhaps I am just missing the browse button. All that comes up is a location in my program files and my external hardrive.
If the vanilla game is crashing within two hours, your hardware is probably on the lower end or a driver conflict may exist. (See the PCS Library for help troubleshooting.) Solution: This issue affects many utilities for Oblivion, so the cleanest, safest method to avoid this and further related issues is to uninstall Oblivion and reinstall Oblivion to a folder outside of UAC protection (i.e., C:\Games). The same applies to Steam, if Oblivion is installed through it.
Look in the game folder, see if the executable is there. You can right click Oblivion in steam, hover over manage, and click Browse Local Files to get there quickly.

24 wrz 2022 · I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
21 sie 2019 · I have ~10 years old GOTY edition of Oblivion. It installed without any issues - both main game and expansions. The game runs for me, but I can't change any graphics settings. When I wish to enter Optins from the launcher, I receive information that the Oblivion.ini file is missing.
