10 lip 2022 · might be missing some old libraries that the game needs and may have failed to install. go to folder...\steam\steam\apps\common\oblivion\directx and run dxsetup.exe with admin permission. use repair option if there is one. run game from game folder .exe and NOT from your steam library or an icon. sometimes an error msg appears not hidden by steam.
26 mar 2022 · 1.Running OBSE with shortcut - in shortcut there can be directory mismatch. 2.Some security issue - for some reason access to Oblivion.exe was refused. Maybe reinstall to different directory than "Program Files" will help?
1. Reply. Share. Timothy-Brisby. • 8 mo. ago. There is a way to get OBSE to launch properly from what I found. Find launcher_settings.cfg (in the content folder) and open it with notepad. Then you just change the Binary Path line to BinaryPath=obse_loader.exe.
when I go into the launcher and press play, I get an error from the oblivion launcher that says "The Oblivion Launcher could not find the Oblivion game executable. Please reinstall Oblivion". this happens whether I click the shortcut or the launcher itself in the oblivion folder in the file explorer
Also: there is no "Oblivion" folder in My Documents\My Games, though it appears in Users\MyUserName\AppData\Local - but still without Oblivion.ini. Any suggestions to solve this?
