10 lip 2022 · might be missing some old libraries that the game needs and may have failed to install. go to folder...\steam\steam\apps\common\oblivion\directx and run dxsetup.exe with admin permission. use repair option if there is one. run game from game folder .exe and NOT from your steam library or an icon. sometimes an error msg appears not hidden by steam.

Try to launch it not through steam, bypass the launcher and go straight for oblivion.exe (might be named differently), launch it with admin rights. have you tried uninstalling the application, deleting all local files in steam/localapps and trying again? disable the steam overlay for Oblivion (it may not solve it but it has caused crashes often with other users)
when I launch Oblivion in Steam, after a few seconds the launcher shows up and all the options are available, but when I press Play it says “The Oblivion Launcher could not find the Oblivion game executable. Please reinstall Oblivion.” To be clear, they are in the same folder: …/steamapps/common/Oblivion.
27 sty 2021 · All you have to do is rename the OBSE Loader to OblivionLauncher.exe and then try to launch the game through Steam again. You can do so while having your modifications enabled, and it should still work regardless.
