10 kwi 2013 · This is a common problem for steam games, see Application load error 5:0000065434. The short version is Oblivion.exe is locked by Steam and won't run without Steam.exe. This problem is especially apparent if you installed Steam and Oblivion on different drives; you have a couple solutions:
Deleted RendererInfo.txt file alone in Oblivion's "My Games" folder | Copied Steam to Oblivion directory. Verified integrity of game files in Steam (2 unspecified files marked as bad in 1st run, subsequent runs do not show them)
10 kwi 2017 · Pretty sure 5:0000065434 is Steam DRM on Oblivion.exe. This is actually a common problem when you install Steam and Oblivion in different drive/folder. Try removing the symbolic link - to remove a symbolic link, simply delete them as if you’re removing a normal file.
12 cze 2020 · Yaaay, I solved this problem. You need to copy-paste steam.exe to Oblivion (not Nehrim, not Oblivion_BACKUP) folder
Run your game directly through Steam once. You may also need to restart Steam. If that still doesn't work, place a copy of your Steam.exe (not a shortcut) into the game's Root folder. Basically Steam is stupid and can't find the game if it's not installed on the same drive as steam itself.
Make sure "obse_steam_loader.dll" and "obse_1_2_416.dll" are in the root Oblivion fodler (the same place as Oblivion.exe). Make sure that "obse.ini" is in the "Oblivion\Data\OBSE" folder. Then launch Oblivion through steam.
The problem is when launching I received Application Load Error 5:0000065434. I searched for it and found out that was because oblivion is installed on a different hdd than steam and because of the mods. The "solution" was to copy steam.exe in the Oblivion folder. Now the game simply crashes at Bethesda logo. What should I do?
