10 lip 2022 · Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher. Any help would be appreciated.

I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
I've been trying to fix this for weeks. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times. Also "verified integrity of game files", it was fine. I've tried launching it through various different means.
10 lis 2023 · Locate your Oblivion Documents folder. Turn the cloud off for Oblivion. 1 - Remove or delete the Saves folder. 2 - Delete the Blendstings, Oblivion and Renderinfo files. (The saves folder and data files are all contained in the Oblivion Documents folder. Oblivion will create new files the first time you load your game.)
15 lip 2014 · Each time, literally nothing appears to happen beside that- no Oblivion Splash screen and no message from Steam that Oblivion is starting. I have tried the following: - Verifying File Integrity. - Delete Local files (including documents/my games/oblivion folder) and reinstalling fresh.
11 kwi 2021 · You may have seen people suggesting going to "Documents > My games > Oblivion" and deleting all the files there to get rid of any old save files and to reset and altered .ini files. This was the solution that worked for me.
have you tried uninstalling the application, deleting all local files in steam/localapps and trying again? disable the steam overlay for Oblivion (it may not solve it but it has caused crashes often with other users)
