20 mar 2023 · check windows security/controlled folder access. if on add exceptions for game launcher/game. game launcher needs to create folder Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder should contain files BlendSettings Oblivion.ini RendererInfo.txt and after game starts your saves folder. if these files are missing also besides no saves running Windows One Drive?
I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.

Check that you didn't make a double data folder (ie. copied to Oblivion/data/data instead of just Oblivion/data ) - Sometimes when copying it will place it into a new folder in data instead of merging into the existing data folder and then the game will not find the files.
16 lis 2023 · A relative has recently updated their laptop to windows 11 and is missing some data, typically very important data! All items were kept in subfolders within a main folder on the desktop. This was all backed up to an external hard drive but not backed up before the upgrade (d'oh!) so some critical files are missing with no backups available.

use Windows Explorer. expand My Computer. expand Local Disk C. expand Program Files. expand Bethesda Softworks. expand Oblivion. here you will find Data folder.
