What to Expect After You Submit Your Public Housing Application. Preliminary. Waiting List. Public Housing applicants must inform NYCHA of any changes in address, income, and/or household composition after they submit an application.
If you do not have internet access, you can schedule an appointment at any of our Walk-in Centers and apply using a NYCHA kiosk. If you need help completing your application, please call our Customer Contact Center at (718) 707-7771 from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

The NRTA has a competitive, multi-step application process based on qualifications and proven interest. The following is the process for application & selection: 1. NRTA Entrance Exam.
