NVidia used to have a cable called a VIVO cable. I'm not sure if they still do, but I believe it was an S-Video port with extra pins that also gave you component in, component out, and composite out. I have an AGP 6600 with component out that I got running on my TV in 1080i.

If possible, try a regular S-Video cable connected to a) nothing and then b) a TV with S-Video input. If that works, try another adapter cable. Fire up your PC when connected to your TV and then Remote Desktop into it from another PC.
