They contain both tetraiodothyronine sodium (T4 levothyroxine) and triiodothyronine sodium (T3 liothyronine) providing 38 mcg levothyroxine (T4) and 9 mcg liothyronine (T3) per grain of thyroid.

Generic Name: thyroid desiccated Pill with imprint AP 329 is Tan, Round and has been identified as NP Thyroid 30 30 mg. It is supplied by Acella Pharmaceuticals, LLC.
The usual starting dose is 30 mg NP Thyroid ®, with increments of 15 mg every 2 to 3 weeks. A lower starting dosage, 15 mg/day, is recommended in patients with long standing myxedema, particularly if cardiovascular impairment is suspected, in which case extreme caution is recommended.
