Child support ends when a child reaches the age of majority, which is 18 in North Dakota. But there's an exception if the child is still attending high school and lives with the custodial parent. In that situation, support will continue until the end of the month when the child graduates or turns 19.
In North Dakota paternity must be established within 3 years of the child reaching the age of majority. The age of emancipation in North Dakota is 18 years of age if child is enrolled and attending high school and child resides with person to whom duty of support is owed.
