1 wrz 2014 · In this study of euthymic older adults, we demonstrated a significant association between vascular risk and depressive symptoms as rated by an experienced psychiatrist as well as by self-report. For HDRS, this association was independent of age; for CESD, the association did not reach significance until age was included as a covariate.
Vascular risk was associated with endorsement of depressive symptoms in euthymic older adults. However, the patterns of associations with the two depression scales are distinct and may reflect both differences in administration and item characteristics.
