NorCal House of Chess helps organize scholastic and adult tournaments. In 2012, NHC conducted the most prestigious tournament in Northern California. For many years, NHC has organized around 250 rated tournaments in the US.

We work to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive chess community for high school students across Northern California by organizing engaging tournaments, providing accessible resources, and fostering a passion for the game that transcends boundaries.
Northern California has an extremely busy tournament schedule providing a tournament almost every weekend in the year! The CalChess Clearinghouse's job is to try and avoid organizers holding events that might conflict with each other.
NorCal House of Chess is a chess center for both kids and adults. We conduct weekly adult/scholastic tournaments. Last January 2012, we conducted the most elite chess tournament in Northern California, attended by Grandmasters, International Masters, and several masters from different countries.
We are dedicated to broadening and developing chess as art, recreation, and as a significant element of culture in Northern California.
