About the library: The collection contains books, historical and current journals, hard-copy technical reports, reports on microfiche and microfilm, and audio cassettes. The library also provides access to digital media in both tangible (CDs, DVDs, etc.) and intangible formats (Internet accessible).
Description: "The goal of this study is to document the primary weather observational path at Peoria, Illinois, leading to the current and on-going National Weather Service observing program. The challenge was to identify and define the roots of the path that began in the 1850s.
The collections document the history of Illinois and its inhabitants from the colonial era and earlier to the present day. Printed volumes include local histories, directories, atlases, contemporary works, and scholarship for wide range of subjects and time periods.
