9 maj 2023 · Nikon designed the new Nikon Z mount lenses (as well as the FTZ adapter) a bit differently compared to their Nikon F counterparts. The plastic body shell extends a bit farther, slightly protruding over the metal mount.
The 70-300 AF-P is really a good lens for the Z system with FTZ. I use mine on occasion and it has VR. my only other F lens if a 300mm f4 D AFS that works really well even with a 1.4x nikon converter. The 200mm f/2 is nice. I use the F mount 20mm 1.8G and it works great.
