11 wrz 2023 · Sadly, Apple has not updated their system to recognize the new NEF raw formats generated by Nikon’s Z8 and Z9 cameras. When organizing files stored on the hard drive, using the “preview” functionality of the Apple OS, is extremely helpful.

16 lut 2024 · I went into my Mac's "System Report," scrolled down to the "Software>RAW support" section and clicked on it. I then scrolled down to the "Nikon" section, and lo and behold, for the first time since the Nikon Z8 camera came out in May of last year, IT WAS LISTED AS A SUPPORTED CAMERA!
I recently bought a Nikon Zf and found out that imported RAW images (.NEF) files aren't recognized by macOS so peeking at their content from the browser doesn't work. . NEF needs to be converted to .DNG in order to be processed in Photomator for example.
