14 lip 2023 · for some reason if you do not shoot in losses compression mode. windows 11 photo will not read any of High Efficiency file mode does not know how to read them. now my camera with 2 512 cards can only get 5,500 when shoot losses compression. compared to High Efficiency best mode gave me 12,500 photo. now will be looking into lager cfexpress cards.
5 mar 2024 · A problem popped up today viewing Z8 NEF files on my computer using Windows 11 Home. When I view pictures in either Windows Photos or in File Explorer, the NEF thumbnails appear fine. When I try to view the NEFs full screen, I see the image briefly and then it changes to the image shown below.

Canon RAW Codec is a plugin software for Windows that enables you to import and display Canon RAW image files using a programme such as Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
There are several free applications that can open/process "raw" files from about any camera: RawTherapee, Darktable, PhotoZone, PhotoFlow, NuFraw, some also being usable as plugins for the Gimp image editor.
21 paź 2022 · Here's an update. I spoke to Canon and he recommended importing directly from the camera tethered. I tried it and it worked. Image files were not corrupted. I also switched off Dual Pixel Raw and the image file size was MUCH smaller.

Select the operating system you are using. Please note that the Canon RAW Codec is not available for Windows XP x64, Windows Vista x64, or Macintosh OS X.
