5 mar 2024 · A problem popped up today viewing Z8 NEF files on my computer using Windows 11 Home. When I view pictures in either Windows Photos or in File Explorer, the NEF thumbnails appear fine. When I try to view the NEFs full screen, I see the image briefly and then it changes to the image shown below.
24 lip 2020 · If your computer does not open a NEF (RAW) file from your camera, then you do not have a software application installed that can read that file type. You can open NEF files on a Windows computer using the Nikon codec without any additional photo editing software.
15 sty 2023 · I have a western digital Network drive and it contains photos in JPG and NEF format (Nikon raw image). On my windows 11 PC, I can see the JPG files, however, the nef files do not appear. It's as if they don't exist.

10 gru 2018 · I cannot get Photoshop or Lightroom to open and read RAW (.nef) files from a Nikon D7500. Latest updates have been applied.
25 wrz 2023 · I am trying to view the RAW files captured on my z8 in Windows, Google Drive, and Google Photos but they are coming up as corrupted/unreadable. I did install the NEF codec for Windows but they still won't open in Windows Photo Viewer, PS Express, or Picasa (file is corrupted error).
